Wrapping up the 2011 season.

Its less than 22 days away from the holidays and I have almost finished putting the gardens to rest.  Garlic is mulched and over the winter it will break dormancy quite nicely under the thick covering of straw.  I wont be anxious about its emergence until I feel like my green thumbs are itching to touch soil again.  Meanwhile, i am not going to worry about much more about  the fields and gardens either, they are also going thru a rest period.  As for me, its once again the paper work, planning 2012 marketing strategies , working with QOFC and NFU, and having some time with the family and lastly having a rest my self.

I wont be attending any farmers markets now for some time.
Please stay in touch to see what Railway Creek Farms are up to during the winter.
